The Story Itself

Obviously. There's a point in the story where Rima goes back to Elizabeth Park in her human form. The girls don't recognize her, they just think she just so happens to have the same name.

There, Rima talks about all the lessons she's learnt from the palace. She's praised by everyone, and is happy about it. Until...she realizes that the one being praised is her human form, and not her furry form, her true self.

Suddenly, Mahiru remarks that it sucks that Rima (furry) isn't there to meet Rima (human). Rima (furry) would've really liked talking to Rima (human) because the former was always talking about being a lady this being a lady that.

Rima (human) then asks what do the Elizabeth girls think of Rima (furry).

The praises start flooding in. She's a kind and reliable girl. That it's unfortunate that she can't go out freely because of her form. And that her fluff actually livens up the farm.

Rima (human) is taken aback by all the praises. She thinks to herself, she's happy that her friends don't judge her by her appearance.

The message should be pretty obvious by now. Something something beauty is only skin deep, don't judge a book by its cover, etc etc. So, why hasn't Rima gotten an alt for so long? Because she's a furry and thus won't sell? Doesn't that make the writers sound like hypocrites? The answer is...yes, pretty much lol.

Why don't they just make alts out of her human form, then? Because it would undermine the message of this entire event. In a way, you could see this as the writers respecting Rima's character by not shining the spotlight on her human form. If I were KMR and was asked why Rima hasn't gotten an alt for so long, this is the non-profit driven answer I would give.

Is it that hard to come up with a story that revolves around her furry form, though...? If it were me, I'd turn it into a Uma collab where Rima beats the shit out of the horse girls in a race with her furry form. Uma collab so at least the event would make SOME money. Actually, would the yakuza allow their horses to be portrayed losing to a llama? Now that I think about it, this sounds like an easy way to lose a finger or two...

Still, I'm not a professional writer. Nor do I know anything about the yakuza other than the fact they don't want porn of their horses. So what do I know. Considering the batshit crazy stories they've come up with recently, I'm sure they can come up with SOMETHING for Rima. Eventually.

They were hired by the palace to give lessons to the aspiring ball dancers. Maho teaches dancing and ballroom mannerism. Makoto teaches...combat? There's also the fact that both characters hired are from Caon, basically the security guards of Landosol.

By this point, the readers are probably thinking "they're gonna fight something/someone", and they would be right. The event organizer, Lloyd, is hounded by a monster and requires someone to subjugate it. Uh, so why go through the rigmarole of hiring the fighters to train a bunch of noble girls instead of just hiring the fighters to outright beat the monster?

That's because...the monster wants to fuck Lloyd!!!

Yeah...that surprised me quite a bit. So, Lloyd's idea is that if he has a girl who is more feminine (and tougher) than the Princess of Monsters, she's probably gonna back down. Of course that doesn't happen and Rima plays the role of a wingman (wingwoman?) to get the two together. Medetashi medetashi.

Basically, not all monsters are bad.

I think the first time it was revealed that not all monsters are bad was in the main quest where Pecorine slaughtered a family of monsters because she was hungry even though the monsters were just having fun playing with tambourines. This was shitposted quite a lot back during the EN era.

The second time would be this event, where it is revealed that sentient monsters exist. Lloyd probably thought that straight up murdering the Princess of Monsters would be too much and tried to get her to back down. In a very convoluted way.

There's even more. In the Maho Maho Miracle Journey, it is revealed that monsters do form lasting bonds with humans. This time, on the more platonic side.

In the Sweet Tiny Stage event, it is revealed that monsters really just want to live and are capable of being employed. Here, the rats resorted to stealing to provide for their clan. Kurumi and Misaki rat (heh) them out, and gave them proper jobs as stage performer.

In the Welcome to Cafe Naschkatze event, it is revealed that monsters do desire a sense of greater purpose and is willing to help out to get that. Even if sometimes, they help way too much...

There's also the whole Dears event where monster preservation efforts are revealed to be a real thing. There's also Shiori's subplot about raising a monster, Nyatt-chan. Nurture over nature. The Dears event also mentioned Kariza's slimes and Misaki's eye, but uh, I don't think they're good monster owners...

And to top it all of, in the Grand Dream Parade event! All the monsters above return for a big parade to assure that the guests of Grand Dream Park that not all monsters are bad. Honestly, this feels like a "send-off" to all the monster world building we've had so far. I wonder if this is because the story shifting focus to the IRL part of the story and therefore, moving on from fighting monsters?

When you think about it, the monsters in this game are incredibly fleshed out for something that's supposed to be fodders for the players to beat up.

Difficulty

Yeah, nothing much to say here. 100% (947/947) comprehension. I guess that's just the norm nowadays.

Translation Differences

The word "sweet" isn't in the JP title at all. And the word 華やか (brilliant, gorgeous, enchanting, fabulous, etc) isn't anywhere in the EN title. The JP title, if translated directly, would sound something like...

• Cinderella Day - The Taste of A Day-Enchanting Apple

I went for the gerund so I can use compound adjective to describe the apple. Otherwise, it'd sound something like "the taste of an apple that enchants your day" which sounds super awkward and long.

Me, I wouldn't mind being fucked by this monster.
