tl;dr
The Story Itself
- Slow setup...
- The characters' interactions are fragmented...
- It suffers the same issues as the camping event, basically.
Difficulty
- Easy, so many repeated phrases here.
- Only missed 2 lines, about flowers...?
Translation Differences
- The title is accurately translated! That's a first.
The Story Itself
First half of the story is just about how the girls got affected by Antibeast and how they snapped out of it.
First, Antibeast got to Io, she gathered a bunch of students, KSKN snaps her out.
And then, Antibeast got to Kuuka, she gathered a bunch of fellow masochists, KSKN snaps her out.
And then, Antibeast got to Shizuru, she gathered a bunch of kids calling her Onee-chan, KSKN snaps her out.
And even when they finally got together and had a castle built, the trio still only focused on their respective followers.

Sure, they fought the Antibeast together at the end. But they only took turns attacking. They attack together in the end, but the credit for that goes to KSKN for powering up the three. Very little synergy between the characters here.
Here's a chart of sorts illustrating how the interactions are like vs how it should be.

This is during the set up.

This is during the climax. (I couldn't get it to work with circles lol)

And this is how I think it should be. Maybe having all the three characters right from the start is a bit too restrictive, I'd say having all characters together by Episode 2 would be a good benchmark.
Notice anything similar? This is just like the camping event. In that event, the first half of the event was used to explain why each character went camping. Aoi wanted to immerse herself in nature because she lost the ability to hear My Friend-kun, Yukari was recommended by a co-worker, and Jun was told to go take a break by Matsuri and Tomo (this one would be okay IF Matsuri and Tomo were the main characters). Even during the climax where the three of them got high, they were isolated into their own delusions.
I was immediately suspicious when only Io appeared in the prologue, unfortunately, I was right.
Difficulty
A lot of repeated phrases here. Here's the count of the most common ones.
- 闇の力 (power of darkness): 72
- 魔法少女 (magical girl): 63
- 愛と希望 (love and hope): 35
Out of the 937 lines in this event, a whopping 18% of it contain those repeated phrases.
Moving on, these are the two lines I missed.

I know 花 is flower, but the katakana in front of it makes me thing it's not supposed to mean flower there. I guess it's closer in meaning to "bless"? I know 花 can also make for weird phrases like 両手に花 which means "to be flanked by two women at once" that appeared in the Salasaria event, or 高嶺の花 which means "a woman out of your league" that appeared in one of the substories where Volgano tried to get that Rima pussy. Yeah, it's weird.
Sudden realization: I just outright googled "hanamaru" and it apparently means "full marks". Teachers give this to students who got a perfect score in their test. This one particular phrase didn't appear in my dictionary and I just gave up on it, guess I should google things more often huh.

This is the symbol teachers draw when a student gets full marks. As you can see, it's a flower.
915/937 (97%) lines comprehended. Wait, I thought you only missed 2, you may ask. I didn't bother reading all the options in the intimacy episodes this time because I got bored already. I'm just counting the ones I didn't read as missed.
Translation Differences
Nothing to say here! I guess they removed the star ★ for no reason here, but that's just me being pedantic.
Well, that's all of this blogpost, hopefully, the next one will be more positive than this one. I'm starting to think reading events in reverse chronological order was a mistake, you can clearly see how older events were worse. But hey, that just means the story is gradually improving as time goes on.

I hope the Magical Monika event has lots of interactions between the characters...
