tl;dr
The Story Itself
- The story takes way too long to set itself up.
- The character interactions feel disconnected.
Difficulty
- Easy, but...
- I misunderstood Aoi a little bit in the beginning.
- Skipped some of Yukari's drunken stupor here and there, can't be bothered.
The Story Itself
What I mean by taking too long to set itself up is that the story took a prologue and 2 episodes just to establish who will be there. The prologue explained why Aoi is going camping, episode 1 explained why Yukari is going camping, and episode 2 explained why Jun is going camping. This could've been condensed into just the prologue, honestly. Compared to Twinkle Summer Games where it went like this:
- Prologue explained why Twinkle Wish went into vacation.
- Episode 1 explained EVERYONE who will be in the story.
- The story goes into full swing from here on.
I know I said that it felt a bit forced, but I do think this is a pick your poison situation. I still prefer how Twinkle Summer Games did it because it leaves more room for the characters to interact.
That brings me to my next point, the character interactions. It took until episode 4 before the three main characters of the event to be even together. Here, they talk about why they went into camping. Yukari wants to have "the best drink" (or whatever the hell 最高の一杯 is) and Jun was forced to take a break by Matsuri and Tomo. The two, unable to get the feeling of the best drink and not being able to take a break respectively, was suggested to reflect on it by "talking" to My Friend-kun by Aoi.
They do that...and Aoi just fucks off to make coffee. Not much interaction happening between the three here since one is making coffee, and the other two is reflecting to themselves. The other moment like is this when they have their mushroom trip. Again, they're all left alone in their hallucinations with their own idealized versions of themselves.
I'll give credit where it's due though; the interaction between Jun and Yukari was pretty nice. Jun helping Yukari set up camp, and Yukari helping Jun relax in exchange. But...how about Aoi? This is arguably "Aoi's event" because she's the one graduating from being bocchi, but I feel like she's the most lacking character here out of the three.
The slow set up and disconnected character interactions made this event quiet the slog to go through. I wanted to have SOMETHING good to say about the story, but it felt really forced so I just removed it completely. It's not like I'm paid by Cygames to write these blogs, so I can just be as honest as possible.
Difficulty
I got 98% comprehension here, 1117 lines out of 1129 understood.
See those 12 missed lines? Those are all Yukari being drunk. They're actually easy, I just didn't bother going back to understand them if I missed them the first time. I just wanted to go through this story as fast possible.
The thing I misunderstood at the beginning was why Aoi returned to St Theresa, I thought she was going to have special classes, turns out she was the one teaching them.

The story was kind enough to make it very obvious, thankfully.
Well...that's it. I hope I didn't come through as being too negative here. See you on the next blog post.

Didn't know where to put this, but Jun was quite hot here.
