tl;dr
The Story Itself
- Tons of character interactions, really nice.
- It gets a bit forced at times, but it's pretty minor.
- The twist actually makes sense this time.
Difficulty
- Easy, as expected of a summer event.
The Story Itself
Right after the prologue, the story makes it very clear that there will be a lot of characters appearing here. Cue the "wow, kishi-kun sure knows a lot of girls" gag.
The first episode was a bit of a slog to go through since it's just all the girls going, "hey, I'm here too" one by one. It quickly picks up for the rest of the story though, since the characters are finally, you know, interacting. They do need to establish that the characters are there, and this is the better thing to do rather than to just have them suddenly pop up when the games start.
It was a really good choice to split the character into teams. This allows 2 kinds of interactions; between teams and within the teams. There are so many memorable moments for both:
- Hiyori's and Eriko's teams being aware that they're all weak to kishi-kun, and thus plans their strat around him.
- Nanaka's team weeaboo chant.
- Homare's team intentionally losing because she caught on. According to Jun, nothing much can be done because the vacation provided is real, making it not a scam. So, they just drink together and watch the shitshow go down.
Those were the standouts for me.
As for the twist, it felt a bit double layered to me. At first, the story made it seem like the spectators were behind everything. Slowly, the manager got tired of Team Twinkle's shit and started ramping things up. Here, you may think that the spectators were expecting drama which is why the manager got antsy, however, the spectators seemed satisfied enough watching Team Twinkle doing their thing.
So, there has to be something going on here, right? Indeed, when the manager reached her breaking point and called in an actual monster, she noticed that the male staff that has been helping her was actually her long lost lover. It turns out she's trying to start shit between Team Twinkle because she's jealous. I thought this was an asspull at first, but the story did actually foreshadow this.

For some reason, I thought the 彼女 was referring to Team Twinkle. I was wondering why the たち was missing. He was actually referring to the manager. Definitely my fault and not the story's, and the story did make it very obvious later on.
Difficulty
Nothing much to say here, it's easy. I came in knowing that it would be easy because I didn't have too much trouble on I Wish. If I can do decently there, than a Twinkle Wish event in a casual setting must be easy. It is.
1323/1337 lines understood, which is 98% comprehension. Did marginally worse here than Little Summer Memories, but that's because there's less characters that speak like children here. And there's no words that I absolutely blank out on here. Of course, missed things there and there, but still caught enough things to catch the gist of things.
One thing I noticed, they did the thing where they make things obvious for the audience here again.

"I'm wondering the same thing."

"Oh. I guess that should've been obvious."
That's all for this time. See ya on the next blogpost.
