Just finished the Dears event.

I always thought Kokkoro's inclusion in this event was a bit hamfisted. Shiori and (You) ride the carriage to go to the training camp, and Kokkoro was just...there? Of course, I'm not going to complain since she's my wife, but after reading through this event, I think her role here is irreplaceable. I know they probably wrote around this, but still. This is the first time the story punishes Kokkoro for spoling (You), forcing (You) to retake the test. Not being able to spoil (You) further, she immediately projects (You) into Shiori, spoiling her instead. This reminds Shiori of when Hatsune spoils her because the she's sickly. Shiori tells Kokkoro it's fine to just watch and cheer, that's enough to give someone the strenght to keep going. Kokkoro applies this at the end of the story by not letting you procrastinate. All in all, a very touching interaction between the two. This was a pretty easy event to read through, though there are 2 things that filtered me here. First, the second episode where it's just lectures, it was boooring. Although I understand why they included it, they need to communicate that Kokkoro and Shiori are already experienced somewhat, while (You) have nothing. And second, the bestiary. It was actually easy, but my OCR kept spazzing out because it can't handle a different font. It was smooth sailing on Kokkoro's part, but I just dashed through Shiori's because I realized I was spending more time correcting shit than actually reading. Neither of them are really my fault, so I guess I did decently here.

Next up, the New Year Meteor event. What a coincidence that I'm reading the story of other sister now. I already read the prologuge, and it's neat that they used this event as an explanation why Shiori can't go with Hatsune, she needs to standby for any ranger emergency calls. I know it's because she already got an alt last year, but yeah.
