Just finished the SRanpha event.

It started out hard because the game threw so many new words regarding spirits, exorcism, etc. However, it got easier when I realized they all shared the same kanji in one way or another (霊). Even if I didn't know the exact word, I at least knew it had something to do with supernatural shit. The difficulty was pretty much gone after Lucent Academy showed up. The boss kinda filtered me because of it used lots of katakana and its voice is echo-ey, but I didn't really care. It's just the boss.

As for the story itself, nothing much to say here. It's just your usual wacky summer adventure. I really liked how the story is structured though. I liked how the game recontextualized all the supernatural things that happened to Shinobu and Ranpha into Skullfather's and Kuuka's bullshit.

One thing though, isn't this supposed to be Ranpha's event? I think Shinobu's and Skullfather's interactions stole the spotlight. It was honestly touching to see Skullfather not giving a shit about dying if it's by his daughter, and Shinobu's genuine worry going into Skullfather being remorseful. Ranpha felt like she just tagged along. Kuuka too, but that's because she's...Kuuka.

Next up, I'll read the Altar Maidens event. This is the first time I could understand what the event logo is saying, but that's probably because there's only 1 Japanese word there with the rest being English...
