New Year Meteor Event

Just finished the New Year Meteor event.

I'll say it outright...this was a challenge to read, not because the story was bad or anything, but because how the story was set up. The entire event happened because Inori made a wish to get so much new year's money so that she doesn't have to worry about anything in life anymore. The conflict happens when the Forest God misunderstood the wish, thinking that Inori wanted a sphere (this sphere being the meteor) to fall, because you can't worry about life when you're dead. How the fuck do you go from "new years money" to "drop a sphere", you might ask? The phrases "new years money" and "drop a sphere" are pronounced similarly in Japanese. お年玉 (new years money) and 落とし玉 (drop a sphere) are pronounced as おとしだま and おとしたま respectively. I did not realize this until Kasumi just spelled it out. I spent the first 3 episodes wondering what was wrong with Inori's wish.

Other than that, the character interactions were enjoyable as usual, and wasn't that difficult to go through. The highlight for me was the episode where they played the games for the ritual, especially the sugoroku part. It was fun seeing them scramble to get that (You) dick, only for them be forced to be lovey dovey with one another. Felt a bit yuri-baity, but I don't really mind. When I see two girls getting lovey dovey, I don't say "ew, gay", but rather, "holy shit, two girls!".

Next up, the recently reran NY hags event. I am supposed to read the Naschkatze event since I'm reading in reverse chronological order, but it hasn't been reran yet. I guess this means I'm reading around 2 months faster than the pace they add new events (since there's also the Liberate the Eden event before the NY hags event). I knew I was always a bit faster, but it's nice that I finally have a concrete number. Still, gonna read the new main story chapter first.
