(This is two articles in one, I was busy when I was reading these events.

I have finished reading the Spring event and the Halloween Rin event. Been busy with work and trying to survive Peco in deep quests. I don't want to shirk work nor slack off in game, so I figured this was the best thing to delay and condense.

Going from the WMatsuri event, both I enjoyed these two events more. As I mentioned before, the WMatsuri event stretched things too thin and it made Christina's "arc" seem half-assed. On the other hand, Kyouka in the spring event, Nanaka and Rin in the halloween don't get their own arcs and act fully as a supporting characters. Kyouka helps Suzume exploit her blunders into something productive, while Nanaka and Rin help Tomo to be honest with herself. I understand the writer's desire to give each character their own spotlight, but I don't think they need to be in the spotlight to shine. Kyouka's smartness shines through when helping Suzume by writing the blunder encyclopedia. Rin's and Nanaka's, uh, dorkiness shine through when teaching Tomo about the Fes subculture.

Storywise, I had no qualms with either event. Ryuuji still secretly working with his old gang did make me go "oh shit" in a good way, and I'm glad he came around in the end. I liked how they foreshadowed Kagami being the one behind everything by making her say "that attack should've connected" after Nanaka restored the game's settings.

Both events were easy to read. The spring event having a child character and a stupid character and the halloween event having two dumb characters, and one character that speaks like an actual normal human being. The halloween event is on the longer side, though. I'd say it's just below Crybaby Christmas in terms of lenght, but it's nothing I can't handle at this point.

Next up would be the EMaho event, but I'll check out the latest main story additions first. Dunno how long that will take me, so I may just read June's event if it comes out before I finish catching up with the main story.
